This project deals with the layout optimization and manipulation based on the concept of path-finding (distance covered within a floor plan). After floor-plan and graph analysis using Gephi and the transfer to Grasshopper and Rhino, one can automatically derive certain conditions. This process can help one to position two rooms next to each other or to set the distance between them to be as short as possible.

In Galapagos paths are determined according to the principle of evolutionary optimization that make up an optimal Voronoi cell layout. In a final step the optimized layout can be translated into orthogonal geometry.
